This role is based at Master of Code Global and is dedicated to Zipify, a Shopify product company formed together with Smart Marketer. Zipify builds high-impact Shopify apps that help merchants maximize revenue and conversion. Our flagship product, OneClickUpsell (OCU), has generated over $1.2B in upsell revenue for merchants. We are evolving beyond traditional SaaS into a hybrid model that combines product, AI, and high-value services to deliver measurable growth for ecommerce brands.
We’re looking for a Content Lead to own the content function for our fast-growing ecommerce products for Shopify merchants. You’ll drive content strategy and direction — with a strong focus on SEO and GEO. This role combines leadership with high-level execution: you’ll set the direction, build briefs and strategy, and also personally write and publish content.
We take an AI-first approach to content creation. You’ll be expected to work hands-on with Generative AI tools across the full content lifecycle, and to build and share AI workflows with your team.
You’ll work directly with our stakeholders, including the North American team, and manage other content specialists (in-house and freelance) to keep content aligned with broader business goals.
What We Value in a New Master
- 5+ years of experience in content, with at least 1–2 years in a content management capacity — this is a content leadership role, not a pure content writing one
- Ability to independently drive content direction and strategy, not just execute against briefs
- C1 level English with fluent speaking skills — you’ll be working directly with our North American team and stakeholders
- Hands-on technical experience with SEO and GEO is a must: comfortable running basic SEO/GEO audits, doing keyword research, and creating SEO tasks — as well as experience directing or managing an SEO specialist who executes the technical work
- Experience creating gated downloadable content (e-books, white papers, checklists) and email campaign content, in addition to blog articles
- Basic working knowledge of Figma, including using AI within it (and beyond) to generate and apply visuals to support content
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, processes, and the latest content trends
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools for content creation, research, and workflows — including building AI-powered workflows and prompts that your team can use, not only for your own work
- Proficiency in publishing and formatting content directly in WordPress
- Motivated by a passion for professional growth and excellence, with a passion for content, technology, and its latest trends
Extra Credit For
- Experience with B2B SaaS / B2B eCommerce products aimed at the North American market, or eCommerce/Shopify experience generally
- Prior experience working directly with external North American stakeholders or clients
How You’ll Contribute
- Content strategy & ownership: Own the content direction and roadmap, identify new topic ideas, and build content briefs and structure for SEO, GEO/AEO content
- Content creation: Write and publish high-quality content, including blog articles, gated content/downloadables (e-books, white papers, checklists), and email campaigns
- Team management: Manage and support a content writer and freelance contributors — assign work, give feedback, and maintain quality and consistency across the team
- Design collaboration: Develop technical briefs for visuals to accompany articles and other content, and use Figma (including AI tools within it) to generate or adapt supporting visuals when needed
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with the North American stakeholders to keep content aligned with business goals
- AI workflow leadership: Build and share AI-driven workflows and prompts across the content lifecycle for the team to use
- Trendwatching: Stay updated on industry trends, digital marketing best practices, and AI use cases
