We are actively seeking highly skilled Senior Python developers with proven experience in GIS/mapping. Additionally, desirable qualifications include expertise in PTT or A/V skills.
Professional Experience:
- Proficient in Python programming, including asynchronous, multithreaded, and task scheduling.
- Experience in API development for REST HTTP (s) and other communication channels such as WebSockets.
- Strong background in development against databases like PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- Linux administration skills, with a preference for experience with Red Hat.
Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with virtualization, containerization, and elastic cloud platforms such as VMware, QEMU, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
- Knowledge of GIS imagery and data technology, including OpenStreetMaps, ESRI ArcGIS, Google Maps, KML, Mapbox, GeoServer, and Mapnik.
- Experience with technologies related to push-to-talk, live video, and other interactive streaming media, such as WebRTC, RTSP, Milestone, Avigilon, and AWS IVS & Kinesis.
- Proficiency in automated build, testing, and continuous integration tools.
- Deep familiarity with version control, ticketing, and process tools, particularly Git and Jira.
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Fluency in the English language, both oral and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team and take initiative to execute projects to completion.
- Professional maturity to independently interact with customers and subject matter experts.
