Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Trading Platform)

Remote work

Flexible Schedule

Full time

You’ll join us as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer , with your main focus on TradeZella , our trading journaling and educational platform. TradeZella syncs trade data from over 500 brokers and prop-firm platforms, runs backtesting against more than a decade of historical market data, and uses AI to automatically tag and analyze trading patterns for over 50,000 active traders. We’re currently considering an allocation across two products, so there’s a chance you’ll also spend some time working on a trading terminal, a platform for reviewing and replaying trades designed for prop firms and traders. We work in a spec-driven way: we plan before we build. If you’re a senior engineer who actively trades and cares about building better trading tools, this role is for you.

What you’ll get?

  • Ownership — you’ll be involved in the full process: from specs to shipping. No ticket queue
  • Product connection — you’ll use the product yourself as a trader
  • AI-first team — we use AI as part of how we plan, research, and build, not just as a helper tool
  • Working style — outcome-driven. We combine synchronous collaboration with focused asynchronous work, choosing the approach that best supports effective outcomes

Who we’re looking for?

A senior full-stack engineer who is also an active trader . This role requires both strong engineering skills and real trading experience. If you only code or only trade, this is probably not the right fit. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working across product, technology, and trading.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Comfortable across backend systems, including low-latency backend
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks ( React 18+ / TypeScript)
  • Active trader: futures or crypto, day trading or scalping
  • Spec-driven, AI-orchestrated development: you plan deeply and know how to work with AI agents effectively
  • Experience with real-time market data: WebSocket streaming, order books, Level 2 depth
  • Ability to produce your own product specs
  • Ability to make UX decisions based on the UX guide and input from a UX advisor
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Would be a plus

  • Ruby and Rust (we use Rust/Axum) experience
  • Experience with high-performance browser rendering (e.g. WebAssembly, ImGui, egui)
  • Familiarity with trading tools like footprint charts, DOM/ladder, heatmaps, market/volume profile, CVD

Useful Materials

  • Railsware Handbook
  • Great Development Culture
  • Onboarding Process at Railsware
  • Remote Collaboration Workflows

  • Pair Programming

Senior Full time Remote QA

We're looking for a QA Engineer who cares about product quality end-to-end, someone who gets trading through real experience, professional or personal. Trading doesn't need to be your career; a hobby or a past chapter counts, but long-term investing alone doesn't. You'll join TradeZella, our trading journaling and educational platform, and focus on how the product works in real conditions: testing functionality, investigating edge cases, and resolving complex issues together with engineering, product, and support teams. This role requires a genuine interest in the trading domain, along with strong UX testing skills.

What are we looking for?

Testing & QA expertise:

  • Strong experience with manual testing and end-to-end validation
  • Solid UX testing skills beyond formal requirements (user acceptance testing, business acceptance testing, usability validation)
  • Hands-on day trading experience (any market: stocks, forex, futures, crypto), past or present, professional or personal, with the ability to walk us through at least one strategy you've traded
  • Experience in investigating customer issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Experience in building and improving QA processes

Technical skills:

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, including log analysis (CloudWatch, Logs Explorer)
  • Good understanding of networks, HTTP, APIs, and web/client architectures
  • Experience with version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
  • Experience using AI tools for workflow optimization

Communication & mindset:

  • Ability to translate technical concepts for different audiences (engineering ↔ non-technical)
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Structured, detail-oriented approach
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Would be a plus:

  • Experience with Playwright (TypeScript)

Your responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, test functionality, and identify defects, confusions, and edge cases
  • Own investigation of complex customer issues through L3 support, driving root cause resolution
  • Partner with engineering and product to resolve issues and improve system reliability
  • Improve QA practices and elevate debugging and investigation standards, including AI adoption practices
  • Support releases and ensure stable rollouts with active post-release follow-up
  • Support and extend existing AI agents and skills to make the QA process more efficient

Team Lead Full time Remote Product Management

Product Lead (Trading)

Remote work

Flexible Schedule

Full time

We're building a trading product from the ground up and looking for a Product Lead who is both an active trader and an experienced product manager. This isn't a role where one side is a nice-to-have. You'll be making product decisions that require real market intuition — understanding how traders think, what they actually need at execution speed, what separates a tool they trust from one they abandon, who the players in the market are, such as prop firms, brokers, data providers, what a CME license is, etc. Product management skills alone won't get you there. Trading experience alone won't either. At TradeFill in partnership with Railsware Product Studio, we build products that people love. You may know Railsware from building TradeZella, Calendly, ParentSquare, Mailtrap.io, Coupler.io, or TitanApps.io — tools that quietly serve millions of people. We bring the same craft and conviction to everything we build.

Join Railsware!

This particular role is part of a small, founder-led team building in the trading space. You'd be joining:

  • Yaroslav Lazor — product & engineering (CEO and founder of Railsware, previously helped scale Calendly)
  • Umar Ashraf — product, markets & distribution (founder of Tradezella, with 4M+ subscriber YouTube trading channel) It's a tight team. Your decisions carry real weight. If that kind of ownership drives you, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Get

  • The ability to build and launch a product from scratch , fully managing the process at a stable company with extensive experience developing successful products
  • Full ownership — from idea to shipped product, you run the loop
  • Product-market proximity — you'll use the product yourself as a trader
  • Collaborating with top market brands in the trading world – prop firms, brokers
  • True AI-first environment with a stellar engineering team — we use AI as a core part of how we plan, research, design, and build, yet in tight collaboration with true engineering talent
  • Outcome-driven culture — we combine synchronous collaboration with focused asynchronous work, choosing the approach that best supports effective outcomes

What You Will Do

Product Strategy

  • Contribute to and own the end-to-end product vision
  • Communicate that vision clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Transform strategy into a prioritized product roadmap
  • Prepare a billing model aligned with revenue and profitability goals

Product Prototyping and Discovery

  • Lead product ideation and prototyping - channeling that into discovery sessions
  • Conduct customer development activities — including direct calls with traders and potential users
  • Run market research and competitive analysis

Product development

  • Define and scope features for development
  • Lead the development process using Agile methodology
  • Carry out proactive risk management and troubleshooting

UI/UX

  • AI-driven prototypes, mockups, wireframes
  • Collaborate with a product designer to implement current UI/UX best practices
  • Improve product UX to drive conversion and retention

Product Analytics

  • Constantly monitor and improve product success metrics such as MRR, CAC, LTV, Churn, NPS, etc
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis of the web and product metrics using data from the product database to validate decisions
  • Make data-driven decisions alongside the data analytics team

What we're looking for

Product Management

  • 5+ years in Product Management
  • Hands-on experience shipping SaaS products — B2C (end-user focus) and B2B (understanding sales workflows and processes)
  • Demonstrated ability to own and communicate end-to-end product vision
  • Experience with PDM frameworks, product analytics, and product design tools
  • Experience running customer development and market research independently
  • Experience delivering software products in the US and/or EU markets

Trading experience

  • Active trading experience in any market — futures, stocks, crypto, forex, or or similar
  • Day trading, scalping, and/or swing trading experience

Technical Background & Tools

  • Technical background — you understand high-level architecture, can work directly with engineers, and don't need others to interpret technical constraints
  • AI fluency: you use AI actively across research, prototyping, analysis, and decision-making
  • Comfortable working with data independently: SQL or equivalent ability to run ad-hoc product analysis without always needing a data analyst
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools
  • General software literacy: comfortable navigating technical tools, dashboards, and developer workflows

Ways of working

  • High autonomy — you set direction, make decisions independently, and drive work forward without needing to be managed
  • Strong decision-making: you move fast on imperfect information, commit, and course-correct based on data
  • Structured thinker: able to manage multiple workstreams, set priorities, and maintain clarity across contexts
  • Data-driven: you form hypotheses, find the data, and update your views
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Would be a plus

  • Experience in product at a broker, trading platform, or fintech
  • Experience defining and executing go-to-market strategy
  • Engineering background
  • Public speaking or content creation

Useful Materials

  • Great Development Culture
  • Onboarding Process at Railsware
  • Remote Collaboration Workflows
  • Railsware BRIDGeS Framework
  • A Guide on Startup Metrics
